R&D Engineer

Responsibilities

✓Lead the complete automation project lifecycle from requirements to commissioning.
✓Design automation platforms that are reliable, maintainable and scalable.
✓Integrate software and hardware into complete automation systems.
✓Perform verification, validation and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
✓Carry out commissioning activities at customer sites.
✓Provide maintenance, diagnostics and software upgrades.
✓Participate in technical design reviews.
✓Propose and lead new R&D initiatives.
✓Support innovative control solutions for research and development projects.
✓Monitor new technologies and competitor developments.
✓Ensure Design for Quality milestones are achieved.
✓Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned for future projects.

✓University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
✓Master's degree is considered an advantage.
✓Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position.
✓Experience implementing industrial automation systems.
✓Experience with Beckhoff PLCs is desirable.
✓Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development and SCADA configuration.
✓Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet and EtherCAT.
✓Hardware troubleshooting and software debugging experience.
✓Knowledge of CE certification processes and railway standards.
✓English C1 level.
✓French is considered an advantage.
✓Availability for international travel (10–20%).
